Sound familiar?

You bought an AI coding license and still can't get past surface-level use. The tool is there, the routine is missing.

AI as fancier autocomplete

You use Claude Code, Cursor, or the Copilot setup your employer rolled out, but basically as a faster snippet tool. The big productivity promise just doesn't materialize for you.

Generated code you don't trust

Sometimes it works, sometimes the AI produces a mess you have to untangle. Without a review routine, every suggestion is a gamble.

License rolled out, alone ever since

Your company introduced the tool, there was a kickoff training, and nothing since. No one is helping you make it a real part of your day-to-day.

No time to set it up properly

Between tickets and deadlines, there's never a calm moment to set up your workflow properly and turn it into a habit.

Who the pairing is for

Developers and freelancers

You work on real code, whether web, mobile, backend, or data. The agentic workflow is largely stack-independent; we set it up on your project.

Out of the random mode

You already use AI but want to move away from sporadic use, toward a setup you can truly rely on in your delivery routine.

People who keep ownership

You want to gain speed without giving up control over your code. A review routine is part of the deal for you.

You're moving ahead on your own

You work as a freelancer, in a two-person team, or as a developer who doesn't want to wait for the company's official rollout. For whole teams, there's the dedicated Agentic Engineering rollout as a separate offering.

Sounds like you?

How the pairing works

1

AI office hour: a quick taste

We start with a paid, 60-minute taster session on your real code. You'll immediately sense whether the collaboration fits, and we'll honestly clarify whether your stack is a fit for me. I credit the fee fully toward the pairing.

2

Kickoff & setup on your repo

We set up your agent configuration directly in your project and tackle the first real task together. The focus follows your goal and your stack.

3

Deepening with guidance

You keep working on your own, and I give you async feedback on your results between sessions. We sharpen your skill library and connect a system relevant to you.

4

Consolidation & handover

We make your review routine watertight and hand over your personal playbook. The result is a configured, accountable setup that you use on your own.

Ready for the first step?

Why work with me?

Your skepticism is justified: in the 2025 METR study, experienced developers took 19% longer on their tasks with AI tools, while they had expected to save 24%. That's exactly why the pairing starts with the setup and the review routine, not with prompting.

A practicing senior, not a trainer

I build software with these tools every day myself. What I show you comes from real delivery work, not from a lecture slide.

12+ years in real product teams

Stints at komoot, IBM, and RTL. You work with someone who knows what code looks like under real deadlines and in large codebases.

On your code, not a demo project

We set everything up in your own repo. You take a working setup with you, not a certificate about someone else's example project.

A nameable result

You leave with concrete artifacts: agent configuration, skill library, review routine, and playbook. AI competence is increasingly requested in tenders, and your setup is an argument there.

What the pairing costs

1.799 €

Three weeks of 1:1 pairing with live sessions and async reviews between sessions. Together we build your setup, which you then use on your own:

  • A configured agent setup in your own repo
  • A personal skill and prompt library for your recurring tasks
  • A connection to a system relevant to you via MCP
  • A review routine so generated code is checked, not blindly accepted
  • Your personal playbook as a take-away artifact

Price per person, plus VAT. Tool licenses (such as Claude or Cursor) are not included; you pay those directly with the provider. The entry point is the AI office hour, a paid, 60-minute taster session for 99 EUR that I credit fully toward the pairing. Because I work 1:1, there are only a few spots.

How the pairing gets paid for

Employed?

Many employers have a training budget, and the pairing counts as professional development. The cost is within the usual range: according to Destatis, companies invest an average of 1,846 EUR per participant in training courses.

On request, I'll invoice your employer directly, with a description of services for your HR department.

If your employer doesn't cover it, you can usually deduct the cost as work-related expenses.

Self-employed?

1,799 EUR is roughly two day rates. If your setup saves you just two days per project, it has paid for itself on the first engagement.

On fixed-price projects, saved time is direct margin.

The pairing is a fully deductible business expense.
